I genuinely don't understand the hate for Face ID. It's proven to work and with updates it should get better just like the finger scanner did.

Are people just too lazy to swipe up or learn something new? Shit man, its less work to unlock your phone now and you don't even need to worry about having dirty fingers.

I don’t see it as a notch in the screen. I see it as the screen extends on the corners for status icons

iPhone X is such a gimmic it’s so bad.
You can literally add all those features on the iPhone 8. I hate how Apple and other companies is so impatient and has to make a cellphone every year and to show there gimmic by taking out things or adding new pointless features instead of ground breaking features. Why not do it every 2 years when ppl need it most for an upgrade and to make it fair also it’ll make more time to think on how you want your product.

A patent from 2013 only means they were exploring that option at that time (before FaceID was likely in development). Also the statement that they spent NO time on the development of TouchID anywhere on the phone is not false when its in context to the iPhoneX. Once they decided that FaceID was their thing, for the iPhoneX, he is absolutely right, presenting an alternative would detract from what they were trying to do.

This is the reason why you didn't get a free iPhone from Apple, Apple is not dumb, they won't give free iPhones to the people who always throw shades at them.
